Thread III: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-chat/1311311/posts |

Free Republic has a lot of horse people that have found each other on other threads . And since we all like to talk horses, how about a thread where it is not off-topic, but is THE topic?
A few of us thought it would be interesting and informative to have a chat thread where we can share ideas, ask for input from other horsemen, and talk about our riding and horse-keeping. We have a lot of different kinds of riders and horses, and a lot to share. In the last thread we had a great time and were a great help to each other working through lessons and training, horse lamenesses and illnesses, questions and challenges and always just our stories we like to tell.
I always have a link to this thread on my profile page, so if you have something to say and can't find the thread in latest posts look for it there and wake the thread up!
I also have a ping list for horse threads that are of interest, and Becky pings everyone most mornings. Let Becky (Paynoattentionmanbehindthecurtain) and/or me know if you would like to be on the ping list. As FreeRepublic is a political site, our politics and other issues will probably blend in . There are many issues for horsemen that touch politics land use, animal rights/abuse cases that make the news . Legislation that might affect horse owners.
So... like the last thread, this is intended as fun place to come and share stories, pictures, questions and chit-chat, unguided and unmoderated and that we come together here as friends. There are lots of ways of doing things and we all have our quirks, tricks and specialties that are neat to learn about.
You did better than I did (in more ways than one:') The funny thing is, I like SL. She scares me now but I liked her when I first saw her and still do.
This is my 11yo with her Appaloosa. (This is my first attempt to load a photo - so with fingers crossed....)
I obviously didn't do something right :(
If you do it again and click on the small picture first you can enlarge it before copying.
Well, we don't have more than that right now. Bay was $1000 the first time I saw him, and when my friend sold him a year later to the endurance racer he was $2000. The endurance racer sold him five years later for $4000, and when he came back to me he was $1000 again. And now, he doesn't have a price. Horse pricing is subjective, and depends more on who you are selling to than anything definitive about the horse.
Now we can save for horse trailer and truck.
You loaded the code right, only you did it for the thumbnail! click and get the code for the full size picture ;~D
I'm trying to load a pix of my bay - when I right click on small photo it isn't giving me any options to enlarge it - when do I do that
It will come. I couldn't afford to go out and buy all at once either. We bought the truck used last year. I had 3 installment payments on SL. I ate dirt less than 24 hours after the last one. I paid her off a few days early. I should have waited. I might have saved 600 dollars:')
Click the small pics and they should take you to the full size view.
left click on it and it should enlarge and then right click for property.
She in York?
snapfish.... but it looks exactly the same as York.
I look forward to seeing your pics in the morning... I hope you get it figured out! We love pictures on the thread!
I am beat... Going to bed. This was a stressful day!
My little farrier at work
Oooh great! You did get it figured out!
Fabulous pic!
I look forward to the rest in the morning!
Funny. I went to Walmarts to look at them and was going to buy Joshua a big wheel for a really good report card. They were 33 dollars. He wanted a 3 dollar gum machine instead. Got his brother one too. Mom and Dad were not amused lol
That the 11 y/o?
I think I finally figured it out.... This is when we first got him - We've put a few pounds on him since....
Yes - she doesn't look very happy here - it's hard work!! Thanks for all the help - I think I *finally* figured it out - I'll re-post a full size photo and stop for tonight....
