She means post #22. Try it and see.
OK - that's word salad.
I meant post 22, yes!
Good job you two, it will be pretty and green next spring.
Any marshmallows to go with that brush pile? : )
That fire will be beyond just marshmallows.... We could BBQ a whole pig on that fire!
Uh, are we invited? : )
Sure, we can't eat a whole pig just the two of us!
We should name the pig "SeeBS News"! Heh!
This is our stud horse Rocky, my daughter has run barrels on him for years, my son roped and penned on him years ago, and he trail rides great, bomb proof, anyone can ride him:
Here's one of him as he ran past me running from a fly:)
Here is Harley, a horse I bought to train on barrels to resale. He is a 5 yr old QH/Pal gelding, bomb proof.
And this is Rusty. A 6 year old grade, that is becoming my old stand by:). He is great, has a comic personality, and will sometimes get fiesty, if he thinks he should be done, keeps riding him fun and interesting. He's gotten rather fat since he has been off all summer.
These aren't the best pictures, I was running out of daylight to take them.

Good Morning
Becky
patch of burdock????
Did you ever try posting pictures? Seems everyone is posting their horses pictures to the new thread. You should try, especially when Hair gets here. She's better at explaining.

BTW, your new pasture looks to be pretty. I'm surprised at the size of some of the stuff the brushog cut down.
Are you going to leave the apple tree?
Becky
I'm really glad I took those pictures last night. Funny how when you look at horses everyday you don't really see them. I hadn't realized how much weight Rusty has put on, which given his circumstances I'm glad, I would think that means he is better but...
He got a feed cut back today. Not much, tho. I want to see how he holds up now that he is going back to work. But I wouldn't think him being too fat would be a good thing for him. I mean, I can't even feel a ripple of rib. Up till now he has always been a bit of a hard keeper. I'm not sure if the weight gain is from him being better, or not having to do any work for so long, so I don't want to cut him too much.
Also, he was sweating last night when I took those pictures. The other horses weren't. I remember the vet saying it seemed to her he sweated "inappropiatly". So I'm not sure if that was a good sign or not. Last Thurs when I worked him on the barrels he was sweating like the other horses there, BUT, he wasn't panting like he did in the past, so that was good.

Good morning! Glad you found the new thread!
I don't think Rusty looks ~too~ too fat, I am glad he did well last night for you! I really hope he's over his troubles and getting back to normal for you.
Glad I got the seed down yesterday, at least I can say I accomplished ~something~ because I didn't do much else :~\. Hope it still has time to germinate and grow some, it is already dropping under 50 degrees at night.
I don't know about the apple tree! We cut it WAY back, so now it isn't as overwhelming with tons of apples, maybe just a manageable few. There are actually two apple trees, we found another one in the brush behind where the pony is in that picture Might still cut them down, but on the other hand.... at least now there is room to get around and fence it off during apple season. ~shrugs~ I still go back and forth on it.
If the trees where there from the beginning and the horses got use to them, and gradually got use to eating them you think it would cause them problems. Kind of like a candy dish with kids, If it's ALWAYS there maybe they wouldn't gorge....maybe:)

Oh no! What a rude interruption at 3 am! Is Burdock like a burr of some sort that gets all tangled in tails?
Maybe! And maybe they won't be able to reach them if we only leave three high branches!
Oh dear! What a bad horse! ;~\
