Thread III: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-chat/1311311/posts |

Free Republic has a lot of horse people that have found each other on other threads . And since we all like to talk horses, how about a thread where it is not off-topic, but is THE topic?
A few of us thought it would be interesting and informative to have a chat thread where we can share ideas, ask for input from other horsemen, and talk about our riding and horse-keeping. We have a lot of different kinds of riders and horses, and a lot to share. In the last thread we had a great time and were a great help to each other working through lessons and training, horse lamenesses and illnesses, questions and challenges and always just our stories we like to tell.
I always have a link to this thread on my profile page, so if you have something to say and can't find the thread in latest posts look for it there and wake the thread up!
I also have a ping list for horse threads that are of interest, and Becky pings everyone most mornings. Let Becky (Paynoattentionmanbehindthecurtain) and/or me know if you would like to be on the ping list. As FreeRepublic is a political site, our politics and other issues will probably blend in . There are many issues for horsemen that touch politics land use, animal rights/abuse cases that make the news . Legislation that might affect horse owners.
So... like the last thread, this is intended as fun place to come and share stories, pictures, questions and chit-chat, unguided and unmoderated and that we come together here as friends. There are lots of ways of doing things and we all have our quirks, tricks and specialties that are neat to learn about.
What is your weather going to be like Tue?
I broke the routine already.... I was hyper and up all night, sleepless... I just fed breakfast and now I am goin' back to bed for a couple hours ;~D
~shakes head in shame~
I'm with you on the rain. :) I can't handle crowds myself but I'd have tried just to see the President. I couldn't go when he was here in Reno. Had to work and my boss, love her anyway, is a Democrat.
LOL - No contest, Sammy
I think this is something you should work up too - just clean them earlier tonight :)
Eh thanks... - I am gonna do them here in a bit.... goin' back to bed didn't exactly work, and I am getting some coffee in me. The farrier is comin' this morning, I'll try to get them clean in case rain pushes us inside for that.
Bummer, I'm sorry. I was awake most of the night waiting for the other shoe to drop. I'm not sure what that might be but I just knew it was coming LOL Turned the TV on first thing. Waiting now for cable guy to come out, then back to bed for me. Have a good day.
Funny. I was up really late too. Nothing unusual for me though since I suffer from insomnia but I also kept "checking" the news.
I don't know if it's all the election news or worry over husband's angiogram next week or the new terror tape - just keep checking the news here on the web and have Fox on TV right now. Maybe it's something in the air :)
I am not sure about the weather on Tuesday. It has been rather pleasant lately, but that could change in a flash. This is Ohio, you know. :)
Maybe we should start having a midnight "who's up?" roll call.:')
I would think bad weather would favor republicans, wouldn't you?
LOL maybe things will settle down soon (I hope)
Yeah:'). Prayers for you and your husband.
My 79 yr old Mother had an angiogram not too long ago. She was out of the hospital in a day or so. I don't think they even put her all the way under to do it. They can go ahead and put stents(?)in at the same time if they need to and the blockage isn't too bad. Saves you from having them go back in later. Mom's apparently was too blocked and had been that way for a while so they couldn't do it. She'd been complaining of pain between her shoulders for a long time and just wrote if off as muscle spasms, but I guess it was something else. I hope your husband's will turn out to be as easy as her's was.
Thanks. The doctor says that it will be an outpatient procedure, more time spend prepping and later watching than the actual procedure itself. Just naturally a worrier I think. :)
I'm supposed to have a lesson at 5:30 today but thinking about trying to postpone until tomorrow. I'm better but been under the weather all week. I haven't done anything. No piano, no akido, nada. I may lose Sarah Lee for awhile Tue and I really need to spend some time with her before she leaves. It is making me sad. I feel like I'm sending her to reform school or something and she won't know why she's being moved again.
