No kidding. I"m 26 and almost 100% alone in feeling that way, among friends at least.

Thin has always been in, but now hips and butts are out too. I'd say that in 10 years people won't even want boobs on chicks because they make them look "fat". I don't think girls realize how gross it is when they're in hip huggers but are so skinny without a butt, hips or thighs. They really do like like underdeveloped children.

Oh well, more curves for me!

One theory is that the predominantly gay fashion mavens promote models with "boyish" figures. So magazines and TV wind up full of boyish "Twiggys" and fewer models with womanly figures. Then the culture follows along with what they see in magazines and on TV.

In Tom Wolfe's "A Man in Full," he described the current ideal woman's body as "boys with breasts." Maybe it has something to do with gay chic.
