HUH? bear I can't quite understand what your saying. Your saying 80 pounds of cement isn't much cement? Well we know that it WASN'T used to fix the driveway or do yardwork so it must have been used for anchors. That's a heck of a lot of cement for anchors. The ONE anchor that we saw only weighs 5 pounds. If the bag was a 90 pound bag, that leaves 85 pounds of cement mix to account for. Geragos stating that he made TWO anchors does NOTHING for the Defense.

we have an expression for junk around here (Oregon)....you say this is a boat anchor, meaning its NO GOOD....Snott could have used anything heavy for 1 boat anchor, but for special occassions (like murder), he has to make his own b/c he can't have a rational explanation if he bought 5 or so from the local store.

How do they know there was a 90 lb bag of cement somewhere? Last I remember everyone was talking about buckets of ready mix that they speculated Scott used for the anchors.

Oh! Now I understand. I had never heard that before.
The bag of cement he bought came in different sizes. One was 30 pounds, 60 pounds and 90 pounds. I think those were the sizes. Anyway, he bought the 90 pound bag. I believe they found an empty bag. Also, Scott could have told them he bought a 90lb bag PLUS he had a receipt or Grogan got the receipt. Scott was also questioned on where the "rest of the cement went". He stated that it was used to patch his driveway. I don't think Scooter knew that cement could be forensically matched.

Just did a google search on the yield from an 80 lb bag of Quikrete brand concrete mix.
Quikrete brand is the brand sold at the local Lowes and Home Depot stores.
One 80 lb bag will produce .60 Cu Ft (17 L) of concrete.
One cu ft = 12" x 12" x 12"
Scaughty must have had an awfully small driveway or a surplus of 8 pound anchors and decided to just throw 'em away. I'll go with the latter.
The fact that he said it was used in the driveway, but it wasn't, is a form of evidence itself. Why would he have to lie about what he used concrete for?
Exactly! He told Laci's brother, Brent, that that is what he used with the rest of the concrete! They check, it doesn't match----another one of a great many lies! The missing concrete is at the bottom of the bay with Laci's head and limbs, sad to say.
I dunno. It's not my turn to watch her. :)
That's exactly why I think Geragos's celebrity client is going down, the fact those bodies surfaced at the place of his alibi. The coming defense show will still be interesting to watch anyway.
