"I'm a news junky, I used to be a Oreily fan"
Totally agree. A couple of years ago he performed some good journalism, digging up stories like the Jayna Davis OKC third bomber information. A perfect story for him would be exposing how Kerry and Edwards draw their Senate salaries even though the law requires them to refund the treasury. Unfortunately he has become lazy and a meglomaniac.
I starting to like the Dennis Miller show, he's funny and well prepared. I predict within a couple of years O'Reilly will be off the air.

He's just like the parents of whom I heard in high school. (Names have been removed to protect the criminal.) Parents' minor child was caught smoking in school. Exactly what child smoked was not clear, but smoking by a minor child and smoking in school were both illegal. Therefore, principal called parents for a visit. Parents admitted to principal that minor child smokes, but "... would never smoke in school, would never smoke at home, would never smoke in public," et cetera ad infinitum.
Principal inquired, "Where have you seen minor child smoking?" Parents repeated the same line ad nauseaum, continuing to repeat whatever principal said. Even when presented with incriminating evidence, parents repeated the same one-liner. When principal asked, "Are you a rhinoceros?" you guessed it--same response, however irrelevant.
Principal, after ascertaining the hearing ability of parents, dismissed parents as crazy and punished parents' minor child.
Guest: What about that forgery on CBS last night?
O'Reilly: Dan Rather would not fall for a forgery.
Guest: But the font--
O'Reilly: Dan Rather would not fall for a forgery.
Guest: What is this?
O'Reilly: Dan Rather would not fall for a forgery.
...
O'Reilly may have contacted the same disease that infects Hollywood celebrities. When you become rich and famous, you become insane.

Thanks for the ping. BO has totally lost his ability to read, reason or even pretend to be fair and balanced. His attacks on the Swifties, this latest refusal to be honest about dan blather's bias, and his "just plain arrogance" is enough for a lot of people to turn him off. I hope Fox realizes when a viewer turns them off, they sometimes lose that person for more than just the one hour. They need to take bo to the woodshed and 'splain this to him.

It's arrogance. The self appointed elite hate the idea that the "unwashed masses" should have a say in the public arena. They hate that more than anything. Even powerline which I read occasionally made a big deal out of the fact that many bloggers involved in the Rather expose are phi beta kappa lawyers from harvard to differentiate themselves from the beer swilling common man. Why? Do you really think we commoners are impressed by lawyers? News flash: we aren't.

I'm with you. I've stopped watching him as of tonight when he started the program about how fair he was with the Swifties. He's such a jerk. No more O'Reilly in this house.

O'Reilly just said "Dan Rather would not do anything fradulent." After all the evidence that has been presented, anybody that maintains to this moment that those documents are not forgeries is either a fool or a liar.
O'Reilly has chosen to label Dan Rather a fool rather than a liar.

I have no respect for O'Reilly...lost it long ago. This just reaffirms my lack of respect for him. By getting in the same bed with Rather, he's gonna get fleas....

Looks as though the media talking heads are getting a bit upset at the notion that "average citizens" might influence the news. After all, that's their job, right? How dare we think for ourselves!

By the way, did OReilly mention he is a JOURNNNNNNNNNAALIST?
To: Congressman Billybob
"O'Reilly is slipping into the Dark Side." I agree Congressman. A couple of years ago I used to enjoy watching him. No longer. His personality and objectivity started to change shortly after the publishing of his book.

It seems to be a career path for hack journalists, first establish a following among the commonsensical - then try to shimmy into the MSM world of elitist Leftism by sloooowly segging to the left.
Tough sheist, Bill, we're on to ya. You did some useful work, showing that you KNOW which way is up. But we see you now is just another unprincipled slimeball journalistic careerist - who'll say anything to go play with the big alphabet boys. But you segged a little bit too early, now watch your ladder being ripped away from under you...

I cant believe all the posts I'm reading here. Any thinking conservative would have seen exactly what and who Bill O'Ego is long ago, especially when the arrogant jerk was carrying water for that slime Kerry in the Swiftvets story. NOW ALL OF A SUDDEN, people are NOT GONNA WATCH BILLY ANYMORE because of the CBS garbage, i hope some day people wise up about Faux News in general.

Who believes O'Reilly is really an Independent anymore? He's nothing but a Democrat altar boy.
To: 68-69TonkinGulfYachtClub
As Ann Coulter said about O'Reilly...he believes you ACTUALLY DIVIDE THE BABY IN HALF to arrive at a solution.
The wonderful Ms. Coulter said this stratetgy works about once a century...last time it would have been applicable was 1941 when Hitler invaded Stalinist Russia....
To: Endeavor
Strike one was when Bill O'Blowhard blew his debate with Ann Coulter and could not differentiate the Senate from the HUAA Committee. He defended the attacks upon McCarthy from the left just like the left does and was not aware of the Venona files and information that fries the leftist democrat communists. Strike two was his Swift Boat Member stance. He completely discounts the Swift Boat members and sticks with Kerry in spite of overwhelming testimony, data and self impeachment by Kerry. Strike three Bill O'Blowitgood, The documents are 99% forgeries meant to hurt GWB and were made by democrats with Dan Rather's complacency and help. Bill O'Dodgedthedraft wouldn't know a military document if it bit him on the butt.
