Reread what I said please....


The Declaration was not the basis for our government. It was never meant to be.


Asking for approval is different than designing the government having God as the foundation. But it's ok, believe what you wish, it is a free country.

The Declaration was not the basis for our government.

The initial point you were responding to was that the country, not the "government", has God at its foundation. The Declaration represented the founding of the country, stated in the most authoritative terms you could ask for.
