ARE WE FORGETTING THIS IS 9/11?
vanity ^ | 9 Sept 2004 | WILDBILL

Are we forgetting that today is 9/11?

In the heat of our battle with the Democrats and the Media, have we forgotten this should be a day of mourning and memory?

I've been as guilty as anyone, but it suddenly dawned on me that we should shut down our rants about CBS and Rather and the Dems for the rest of the day.

We can be back on the hunt tomorrow.

To Jim Robinson:

Jim: I suggest you should shut down all posts about anything but 9/11 for the rest of the day.

Bad idea Bill. Other stuff is happening. I, for one, want to be informed about ANYTHING that happens. That DOESN'T mean that 911 hasn't been on my mind all day.

Pretty presumptuous of you, actually.

we very much remember that this is 9/11. we very much remember that on this day three years ago 3,000 of our countrymen were killed, having done nothing. in a sense, they died for us.

we were not killed. it us for us the living, as a guy name of a. lincoln once put it, to remember them by serving the good. which is precisely what we are doing.

wallowing ill serves the living or the dead.

I met Jim Robinson in Houston recently, and I gave him a coffee cup that I got in Crawford, TX that said something like that. It was a Bush quote.

I've been doing my remembering in Church today. The priest said a Requiem Mass in Black vestments. The special intentions for the Rosary was for the souls of those who died. Then their is the special prayers that are private. It has been a very heavy day. A break from it all is a little relief.

We haven't forgot! We must also go on living. We must do what we need to do to make sure it never happens again. Part of that, is making sure JFK does not get elected. Part of that, means to continue living, but never forget. Today is my oldest daughters 16th birthday. We must go on living. We are having a hugh high school party here tonight. We must go on living, and relize all the people who died so that we can live in freedom. We must continue to live, never forget, and make sure GW is re-elected, so it never happens again!

Your sentiment is good, but it's probably not the best of ideas.

Three years ago today we were attacked. Since that awful day three years ago, uur president has acted courageously to respond to the attacks and to prevent them from happening again under his watch. Today, we have forces working against this president, slandering his name and attempting to wipe it through the mud for the sake of their own political power. Nothing is too low for these people.

We serve the memory of 9-11 best by working to ensure that it never happens again, which includes supporting those whom are doing their best to protect us, especially in the face of lies and deceit.

Vigilance doesn't take vacations.

No. The best thing we can do in their memory is to do whatever we can do to make sure that the President wins re-election. Fighting this CBS/Boston Globe/DNC hoax is a step in the right direction, IMO.

I watched the coverage this morning .. felt bad ..and decided to fight back and support our President for re-election. I refuse to feel sorry for myself, light candles and wallow in victimhood.
