Hi Doll. You're probably right. But somehow I just "feel" that CBS really IS dumb enough to tank for the DNC. It's the worst network of all of them, IMO. I used to watch a soap (for laughs) on CBS, and stopped watching it several years ago simply because I couldn't support a network with the likes of Rather, et. al.

I have to agree with you Eggs. CBS claims they spent 6 weeks verifying these documents. According to Gary Killian, CBS spoke to him and his step-mother, and showed them both the documents. We now know that both Gary and his step-mother thought the documents were fakes. We also know that CBS decided not to present any of the comments from either one of them. In addition, we know that CBS failed to pursue the list of people who had worked with Jerry Killian, that his son Gary had provided them. After last night, we know that they did not use a document expert, but a signature expert to verify the authenticity of the documents, and that that signature expert is now saying CBS falsely claimed he'd verified ALL four of the documents when he clearly verified only one. And we even have General Hodges now saying that CBS misinformed him as to the make-up of the documents when they phoned him for his opinion.

I find it amazing that CBS wasn't able to ferret out some of the simple things, like Staudt being retired over a year when the May 4, 1973 memo was written. But then, we know how lazy the MSM can be. In most cases, the laziness is by choice. They just don't want to know. The fact that CBS has chosen to continue with the fraud proves to me that they are in someone's pocket. They have to be. How else can you explain it? Something definitely happened on Thursday within those meetings or Dan wouldn't have been as hoarse as he was last night.

I also agree with DB who says he thinks that the documents were created by someone young, who had no knowledge of using typewriters. They obviously didn't know that Jerry Killian didn't type, so they didn't take into consideration, the fact that back in those days, people made mistakes when they typed, and that those mistakes had to be dealt with...that is, if they were noticed by the typist. Back then, there were always strikeovers, erasures, or the use of correction tape. In many cases, people just typed over the error, or XXXXX'd it out and retyped the word they wanted. How someone that didn't type, was able to produce pristine, error-free documents is beyond me. I couldn't do it on a typewriter today. Hell, I can't even do it on a computer and I've been typing for over 40 years.
