WOW!!! Not the reaction I was hoping for...... I still think that if this crazy idea has any truth to it, it is brilliant. Sorry to those that have taken offense.

WOW!!! Not the reaction I was hoping for...... Don't mind us... our troll radar is on overdrive these days.
Interesting theory, and it would be amusing if they allowed them to be released knowing they were fakes. That way they could sit back and watch the drama unfold, while staying above the fray and retaining their dignity (unlike Kerry.)

Your an idiot, Bush is above the fold on this. Bush wouldn't permit them to play games of any kind out of the White House.
You don't understand Bush, he respects the office of President and brings honor to the office.
There is nothing here. They may have known these were bogus, but even if they didn't it didn't change what and how they operate.
I think you are a plant because you don't appreciate how not sleazy Bush is.

Let's think here,
Why would the White House have anything to do with the papers? Military records are on file in St. Louis, MO.
To get Reserve Records and NG Records you had to request them through Maxwell AFB, AL. The White House doesn't care about memos, or personnel Files.
SO, I don't see any link to the story, is this just your opinion?

I posted a comment to this effect a couple of hours ago. I quite agree that if CBS showed this to the White House pre-broadcast and asked for comment, any senior White House staffer(s) seeing it would have zipped their lips and then bolted for cover before they burst out laughing.
