They had the gates closed except one...it took me 7 hrs to get through the car check line...

Danke Schoen.
I remember 9/11. On 9/12 I waited 1 1/2 hours out on Rte 40 (didn't move), and said "screw it" and went home.
I don't have 6 hours of "traffic patience."

I think I was in a state of shock...and then...was curious to see how we were going to handle things at work, so to speak.
I wasn't the only one waiting more than 5 hrs, interestingly.
The line was 5 miles long.
