Seriously folks, I've been looking for 15 or 20 minutes now and can't find Kerry mentioning ANYTHING about what has transpired in Russia. Prehaps this is his new "Strategy"; ignore it and it'll all go away.
I'm sure the top DNC guys told him to clam it on this subject. I really doubt he'll talk about it, and if he does it'll be someplace small and a quip about how bad it was. No stand or anything against it.
I believe he said something to the effect that the situation never would have happened if only President Bush had said something about jobs and health insurance in last night's acceptance speech.
Not a peep I've found either and I have been looking as well. You wanna hold your nose and go over to DU? It's the only place I haven't looked.
It's Bush's fault.
He can't, because no matter what he says, it will offend part of his base. It is basically like that with all issues. The man is really hamstrung.
Hold on, I'll go look.
Is his seven minutes up?
Almost worked for his twenty years in the Senate, if not for those damned Republicans!
Good, because I've already gone over there today on another "errand".
Actually, except for a couple of posts linking the attack to oil or the usual "we deserve this" junk they were just as appalled as us. It's too bad their candidate isn't.
Anything that mentions "terrorism" helps Bush.
He's probably having another fight with Tah-ray-za (so many spellings) and is having trouble checking into another hotel room without her credit card.
If I were running for president and my top aide whispered in my ear that Russia was under terrorist attack, I would not waste 7 minutes reading "My Pet Vietnam Experiences" to a bunch of childlike voters.
Nope, I did not hear a word about the Russian hostage crisis, but I did hear him mention his vietnam service. The president, on the other hand, did mention it and sent a message to the Russian people, after he sent his good wishes to clinton w hile he spoke to a crowd
Are you kidding?...why, that might offend Kerry's supporters, the Islamo-fascist and Arab terrorists!!!!
Now we cannot have that...we must use SENSITIVITY when dealing with terrorists.
There is nothing "new" about it. It's the only strategy any dim ever had on terrorism. "It's not so bad just ignore it. The oppressed-feeling terrorists will come to their senses if we accept enough of the blame."
He's already let us know that the terrorist threat is overrated. THAT's a relief!
