Guess When the Breakdown Happens

Posted on 09/03/2004 1:55:46 PM PDT by mnehring

After watching all of Kerry's midnight speech and others from him this week, I was wondering.

How long will it be before he checks himself into a hospital for having a anxiety attack?

Any guesses?

As I posted previously I think he has already lost it.

That act at Midnight was pathetic. I have searched all day and found nothing even mentioned of it in the liberal media, It was so bad they are trying to forget it.

Fox's Judge Napolitano already speculating on how many Supremes might step down and who President Bush would nominate. Looks as if the floodgates have opened. Fox is just the latest news organization to talk past Kerry, as if he's not there.

Ah, so many hilarious images, it's tough to pick a favorite. Let's see. Kerry scurrying back and forth onstage, frantically flipping his 3x5 cards, bashing Bush when he couldn't think of what he was supposed to say next...meanwhile Edwards' face seen fleetingly in the background, morose and stunned, as if he knew the train had already left the station. Not many flunkies in the hall, the few there clapping in a ho hum manner, and then, and then, a heckler yelling in the background (doubtless a FReeper!) and Kerry looking as if he'd just gotten a boot up the bum. Yes!! I keep thinking it can't get any better than this, and every day Kerry outdoes himself.

Oh, dear, Fox is saying Bush leading by double digits, a big bounce from the convention. Fair enough, but let's not forget who really dug Kerry's grave, the brave Swifties.

Did you hear Rush this afternoon? Rush was away, but Roger Hitchcock was there with Tim Lipscombe, the journalist who's been documenting this nasty truth about Kerry. Chapter and verse and more to come, much more. Gets worse, much worse for Botoxboy. I wouldn't be surprised if the RATs didn't give him the hook. Think of the other races lost because of GW's landslide.

No, I didn't listen to Rush's show today. I have to admit that at first (cause I'm so spooked by the trashing Conservatives usually get) I thought the SBVT thing was a good sized mistake. After a couple of weeks, I ended up donating $50 to their cause. I mean I know it's not a lot, but I hardly ever do that, so it was a big deal for me.

Anyway, all I could think of as this thing was starting to unfold was that the Vets were/are really after a full, complete emasculation of this guy.

IMO, their first goal is to derail his bid for the Presidency, and their second is to leave him permanently unhinged, so that he no longer feels at ease when stepping 'forward.' And if his most recent 'midnight cowboy' act is any indication, I think they're well on their way to achieving that goal.

Kerry can only avoid the cookoo's nest if he makes a very public, very sincere 'mea culpa, mea culpa, mea massima culpa.' Any other man would have figured that out by now, and dispensed with it weeks ago. Problem for Kerry now is that it's really too late, if he did that both his internal and external narrative would collapse, and the cookoo's nest still awaits.

They fragged him but good, that's for sure.

His campaign manager ought to be given a medal of valor, and then shot at dawn.

LOL, great line.

Kerry should have apologized on the floor of the senate years ago. He could have written mea culpa letters to veterans' organizations, maybe not telling all his sins, but a graceful apology..the mind boggles though, how to write a graceful apology for that laundry list of treason. So, he'd skip over the messy stuff, and just say he'd learned so much in the intervening years, he'd turned into a Scoop Jackson RAT and thought the US worth defending.

I guess it just goes to show you can't turn a sow's ear into a silk purse. Kerry is such a fool, and his party is furious with him. He's blaming his staff for not stopping the Swifties sooner, but he's the one who wouldn't sign that apology when he had the chance. And I agree that John O'Neill and the rest of the Swifties were after the total destruction of Kerry, and they've gotten it. Richly deserved. Angle on Foxtv a few minutes ago said he was astonished that the entire campaign has revolved around events of thirty years ago...Or put another way, Kerry's collapse is due to those events being made public. He brought it on, himself. It's way too late for him to say anything helpful. The only thing he can do is hit Bush every way he can, all the time, change the subject from his war record.

Tom Lipscombe on Rush's show said if Kerry signed that 180 form, anyone would have access to his military records. They'd be all over the net in a heartbeat. Oh, and another thing was that Kerry wasn't released from the navy until '78, which was way later than usual. Lipscombe said he was going to check into that. And Kerry said some wretched things about Admiral Borda after his suicide over the medal he wore with an extra star, which a journalist had checked into and discovered shouldn't have been on the ribbon since the ship Borda was on at the time wasn't in a combat zone. Kerry's mysterious silver star with the extra star, which his handlers say was just a misprint, and which Admiral Lehman swears he never signed...so who forged his signature...has the same profile as Admiral Borda's medal problem. After his death, though, Kerry said that (paraphasing here), it showed that he didn't have integrity and honor, so his entire life was suspect...he was a liar.

I wouldn't hold too much stake in the release papers showing 78. I asked my dad (Vietnam Vet Proudly For Bush) and he said he got out of Nam in 68 but did not get his discharge papers until around 72. The system was a mess then.

However, I found it interesting that Lipscombe pointed out how a lot of the documents on his site did not look legitimate. This was part of the Friday Surprise I heard about. Supposedly the Navy is going to write a censure letter against Kerry for either falsifying documents or publicly stating false information.

There was supposed to be something, also, from a 527 showing Kerry in some ugly anti-war protests and meetings w/ VC in Paris.

I'll never forget Greta Van Sustren's thunderstruck look just before FOX cut away from Kerry's talk. She was broadcast as an inset on the screen. My guess is that a perceptive producer set that up on the fly. LOL

No argument from me. I have Sierra Nevada Pale Ale in my fridge and drink mostly RockBottom microbrews.

Kerry will have his blatant meltdown during the second debate with Bush. That is my prediction. He still has the debates to count on (in his mind), and Bush will wipe him out on the first one. Kerry will regroup for the second one and when he sees that Bush has him from all angles, he will start ranting, will cry, or will stomp off the stage.
