Not to dwell on Zell but can someone help me out?

Posted on 09/02/2004 6:59:45 PM PDT by NImerc

I have sat here watching interview after interview like many of you. I began hearing whispers from Dems last night immediatly after Zell Miller's speech that several Republicans were already trying to distance themselves from the Senator's words. So I tuned in to a wide variety of outlets today CNN, FOX, MSNBC, C-Span, etc., but have yet to hear any Republican interviewed even come close to distancing themselves from Zell Miller. Instead I have words like conscious, rightious anger, straight shooter, american hero, great, wonderful...and many others. Can someone please direct me to the outlet where all of this distancing is apparently going on? Can anyone site names of those Republicans running from Zell? I would like to know who is it that was in disagreement with his words.

Maybe that was the deal. Zell, you have to go on a secret mission. If you're found out, we'll have to deny your existence. This is your last chance to repent for your past sins....if you choose to accept, Mission Impossible.

I was about to say that. It's like the whole "Cheney's going to leave" thing. It wasn't ever going to really happen, the Dems just wanted it to.

I haven't even heard anything about McCain criticizing Zell.
I probably just missed it.

No, come to think of it, McCain DID dispute Zell's contention that Kerry wasn't qualified to be CIC, didn't he?

Ah just wait.. some our "RINO'S" will probably come out of the woodwork soon. Pubs are probably so glad someone said the things they've been too cowardly to say but I bet one or two will come out and put on a dance and pony show pretending to be disgusted. I hope I'm wrong.......(bet I'm not).

Zell was rather electrifying and jarring in real time, but I do have to say that on second/third listen, he starts sounding a little cantankerous. So I think there is a little "distancing" going on.

"I began hearing whispers from Dems last night immediatly after Zell Miller's speech that several Republicans were already trying to distance themselves from the Senator's words."

I CAN believe RINOs John McCain, Snowe, Chafee, and Spector were sobbing along with the RATS.
