Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
...Pass them by! Pass them by!
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Oh, you DID get pictures! Wonderful!
And hey, there YOU are! And you're pretty cute...
Nice to see so many folks there, especially families. You're right, lots n' lots of kids with their Dads isn't something you see at a typical leftist gathering...

Good morning...drinking coffee and getting ready for what's gonna be a very, very busy day. I have shopping to do, but a lot of it is fun stuff - I'm finally putting aside money for an instrument stand so I don't drop the banjer on stage agin...that happened awhile back. My first thought (which I blurted out) was "Don't worry, it's just a banjo!", which luckily the audience thought was funny. And being a banjo, it didn't get hurt, that time at least. There are benefits to building instruments mostly out of large hunks of metal...
Also going to the farmer's market - woo hoo! And tonight we're playing an open mic. I just hope it isn't freezing. If I had some of those fingerless gloves, I'd bring 'em...it's hard playing when it's even just chilly.
Running over news-side to see how Florida is doing...

hehe, thanks. I have not been called that in many years.
It was a great crowd. Kinda makes me want to go to a homeschool convention and just hang out.

Mornin' folks!
Still got power here and except for some strong gusts now and then, it's actually cool and nice outside. I'm watching the TV and don't think too much of this storm will bother the Miami area too much....well, we'll be flooded for sure. :-)
Otherwise, it's actually the same kind of blustery day that we have here in SoFla now and again. I'm not worried anymore for myself, so now I can focus my worries on ksen and other Florida folks.
Looks like the eye is coming onshore to West Palm Beach.
