Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
...Pass them by! Pass them by!
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Hi, Alkhin,
My server's been down so I'm late replying to this. Anyway, I used to have that problem when I was active on a martial arts mailing list (where disagreements tend to escalate into duels) and I wanted to get away from that, so when I signed up for FR I resolved to limit my discussions to threads that wouldn't make me angry like that. It usually works--usually, LOL! In any case, I hope you'll find a way to resolve your blog addiction in a way that allows you to keep in touch and continue with your writing.

Should I just keep addin' stuff to it? Or does it need another "element?"I just started piling crap up. Weeds, grass shrub trimmings, kitchen scraps, etc. The biggest part of the whole thing seems to be turning it over every few weeks. The soil coming out of the bottom of the pile looks fantastic.

I almost hate to ask, but did Weird Al perform "I Lost on Jeopardy" when you saw him, by any chance...?
Seriesly, good luck on your audition!
To: RMDupree
Me, too :-) Before that they had a classic Bugs one with the guy from the Great Gildersleeve who goes, "Yayyyyyyyyy-ess!"

Msdrby and I saw Pvt Tom's step-mom at church sunday. She'll pass along his APO as soon as she gets it. We told her about the ongoing care packages, etc.
