Well, it will cure athlete's foot. But that doesn't require drinking it.

Actually, the cancer part might make sense. Dr. Burzynski has isolated peptides called "neoplastons" that seem to have srong anti cancer properties.
He extracts them from urine.
Also, oriental medicine in general places great emphasis on the content of the urine. A Dateline study once pitted an old oriental doctor against regular Western cancer therapies for breast cancer. The results? The old Chinese dude did as well if not better than all the radiations and chemotherapies.
I have also read reports that drinking urine can have strong, positive effects on the immune system.

Ratree Cheepudomwit, what a euphonious name.
That is, "Rat-tree cheepo-dum-wit" as pronounced by English speakers.
Doesn't it make you long for an ice cold mug of - WHAT?!!!!

a Thai academic said, citing a study of local Buddhists...... Say no more. Aren't these the same people who think that eating bear pancreases and mushrooms that grow on the heads of certain caterpillars cures all sorts of ills?

Well the women's hormone supplement Premarin (estrogen) is from mare's urine. Crush one of the pills and the smell is...horse urine.

I hadn't had Guinness in a while so I bought a sixer a few months back. Horrible.....massively carbonated and all around nasty. Then I looked closely at the bottle -- Made in Canada.
Can one still buy the Irish stuff here in the States?

You can get it but you have to look. The main thing that ruins their recipe is that they are trying to make it more like the Canadian beers by raising the alcohol content. It is a very poor version of the original.

Thanks, I'll take a look next time.
BTW, I hear from my alternative medical doc that if you eat it, it will cure baldness, foot and mouth disease and replace missing teeth. Good thing I don't have any of those problems!
