I was wondering if someone could create the small icon that goes next to the URL address box on foxfire (explorer too?). Even Protestwarrior has one, and a great establishment such as Free Republic needs one too!
I've never seen an icon on the IE address bar.

The favicon function is not supported by Microsoft on IE, so users with that browser won't be able to see it.

I don't think he's not talking about the favicon (and anyway favicon seems to work fine on all my browsers).
there's a bitmap in the upper right of IE (actually may be more than one if you follow the link above). seems like it should be a snap to make and change.
re-reading, you may be right. it could be he is refering to the favicon.
regardless, both the favicon and branding logo could be changed to 'brand' FR.
favicon would automatically be loaded (in supported browsers) if FR put the icon up for IE to find.
the logo thingy would have to be available to users for download and manual registry tweak.
