Gotta get me some o' deez crazy shades!
Kewl!
Did you see the hooded anarchist attack Chris Matthews?! NYPD took him down...fast!
I'll bet she smells purdy too! That poor officer on the left looks like he's trying not to laugh.
Who is this band? They're terrible. But the drummer's hair is interesting.
NO, I missed it!
ARNOLD!
Why, in goodness name, do those people wear such inappropriate clothes?
People! buy a mirror, and check yourselves.
Mrs.L is telling me that it is time so say, "So long, farewell, and all that other suff (that I can't spell.)
Manana, guys.
I love it when a "European born" calls America the best country
Take that Euro-trash
Yeah now chicks go to protests to meet other chicks!
If any of you are still up, turn on MSNBC. The lt-governor of Maryland is fabulous!
Last night at around 8 p.m., Al Franken, who is here on behalf of Air America, got into a argument with Laura Ingraham's producer. Franken had agreed to go on Laura's show and then reneged. The producer started to walk away, but Franken chased him, yelling insults, and the altercation followed.I think we're getting to 'em!As I recall, this isn't the first fight Franken has been in in recent months. Maybe the strain trying to prop up the Kerry campaign is starting to tell.
Funny thing about the beans - on one side of the interstate you'll see a field dried down pretty good and on the direct opposite side, a field still green. I don't know much about it - maybe it is a difference in genetics or maybe it is micro-climates or maybe more rain collection in one field vs the other. Beats me. Same thing with the corn.
No heat - high today in Chi-town was 81 - cool and breezy. Really beautiful. I can't wait for fall, it's my favorite time of the year.
I thought the Bush twins were horribly embarrassing. Jenna didn't do your shorthorns any favors and Barbara obviously won't be writing a follow up to Buckley's "God and Man at Yale." I mean, why put them on in prime time? W shoulda sent them to A&M - they'd be respectful, intelligent, articulate and would have some sense of political acuity. And of course, humility (grin).
Yes, Steele was incredible.
One last thing before turning in.
Has it been mentioned that Dubya had lots of good news tonight?
New poll in S. Dakota shows Thune leading Daschle for the first time.
Mel Martinez won the GOP primary in Florida.
His people are winning, his convention is getting rave reviews, and Kerry's reportedly bouncing off the walls (literally!).
Sleep well, Mr. President!
(And I liked the twins. They reminded me of that silly grin you get on your face when the family gets together and the kids put on a "show" after dinner. They may not be real talented, but their ours! Just my 2 cents.)

Terrorists have taken over a school full of children, threatening to blow it up.
Good Morning.
I have been up since 5 this morning since a moron delegate called me at 5 to ask if I was going to be in the audience of Good Morning America today. I told him that last night I had told him no, and that I also told him not to call. This man is so annoying, since avoiding him doesn't work, not taking his calls at my home doesn't work, I have now decided to set him on fire.
Last night was amazing. Arnold, the twins and Laura. It was really great. I am on the floor in front of the podium in the middle. Tonight I will be in a light green sweater and pink and green chiffon dress. As BigWaveBetty has alerted you, you can't miss the red hair.
I saw questions here about the podium. It looks like a bunch of cheap packing crates. It's hideous.
I was interviewed by Japanese Television on the floor last night and was also on some show with 'Triumph the Insulting Dog'.
I met Carlton Tucker and Anderson Cooper and took their photos.
I have made contact with Iowa Granny. We spoke on the phone yesterday.
The weather is warm and a bit sticky. Today I don't have much delegate stuff to do so we are going purse shopping.
Tonight is a big John McCain Party with guests Darrell Hammond from Saturday Night Live. I am looking forward to that. Sara Evans will be playing at the convention as well.
The police have been so fantastic. They have all been friendly and everyone has been putting on a happy face. I have been talking to so many people that I don't have a voice left.
Oh, I met Rudy Guiliani at a book signing yesterday too. There are so many things happening that I can't keep track.
Back to last night's speeches. I thought that Arnold and Laura were very hopeful. I think we won the election last night with Arnold's speech. He brings out what is best about America.
So far so good. No protestor trauma that I have witnessed personally. The only protestors I see are on television.
Catch you all later. Sorry about my limited posting but I am very busy and hotel computer connection time is expensive.
HLL: I amazed we've heard from you as often as we have!
(When do you sleep??!!)
****I think you, as an official representative of the Guild, should be allowed to address the delegates at the beginning of the show tonight. Tell them how rude they look wandering around in front of the podium while people are speaking.
Here are your pictures from last night.
Laura Bush
Arnold
I met Carlton Tucker
You mean Tucker Carlson. I'm having a chuckle at the thought of you calling him Carlton. :-)
Say hey to Iowa Granny. Arnold, Laura and the twins were great. The girls are really gorgeous and that Jenna really is her daddy's girl.
I won't be around much today, we're getting ready to get smacked again, this time by Hurricane Frances. In addition to all that I need to get the yard debris not yet picked up secured here.
I watched a GHWBush interview on Imus. GHW was REALLY good!
Call me when you can. Happy purse hunting!

Al Franken melt down: The dems are losing it, you can see it all over their faces. Watch Kerry's face when he speaks to the American Legion today, he will not be able to wipe the guilty look away, no matter how hard he tries. The latest SBVT ad is devastating and there's no way Kerry can apologize for his cavalier behavior regarding his medals in front of that crowd.
