What I am praying for is that the hurricane turns north and becomes simply a tropical depression, hitting New York with buckets of rain. Pretty hard to use those giant papier mache puppets when they are all soggy. And the weird makeup will get washed off. Signs will get smeared. And the reporters won't go out to video it because there will be too much water on the camera equipment to take shots.

Lots and lots of rain. We could use some help from the Lord on this, so I am praying for rain.

My husband is a Viet era> veteran, but was not sent to Viet Nam....although he came close.

He was actually sent to Puerto Rico and was doing defense work on the mainland, and was retained there.

He is proud of his military record, and wholly supportive of the Viet Nam Vets and the Swiftvets.

Surprisingly, we were housed on an Army base (although hubby was Navy)----(-shortage of housing)... and my neighbor's brother was MIA in Viet Nam.

Hubby did 2 years active, and then Reserve.
He served honorably....

MM, we all believed Uncle Walter......he convinced us his word was truth.

Now we finally find out he's a flaming liberal.
...We were duped....and many others like us.
