In tonight's head of household competition ("HOH"), the contestants were required to putt a golf ball up a ramp and into a hole. Once it went into the hole, it went down a tube.
Before the contest, the hostess made clear that the rule was that the first person who's ball reached the bottom of that tube won. Marvin hit his ball and it went into the hole; however, it bounced around a bit. At exactly the same time, Karen hit her ball in the hole; it rolled directly into the center of the cup after hitting the back of the putting surface.
Immediately the hostess declared Marvin the winner and he ended up winning the HOH competition overall. However, my wife and I both noticed that Karen's ball reached the bottom of the tube before Marvin's, because Marvin's spun around in the cup, whereas Karen's went right down.
Upon repeated review on TiVo, MARVIN'S BALL NEVER WENT TO THE BOTTOM OF THE TUBE. Karen's did, and therefore Marvin should not be head of household.
I think CBS knows this: The hostess sounded confused and halting when she was talking right after the competition - the way someone sounds when there are people screaming in her earpiece that something is wrong.
Sorry, I was busy not giving a rat's @ss about it.
Well, it is all my wife and I have.
I do not care because Marvin is the only person I can stand outside of Nikoma. And he already told her she is safe because she had the "balls" to put the twins then her brother up.
I watched it, but didn't notice the timing of Karen's ball. If i were to guess, I would say that it was a mistake and not an attempt to influence the game. Julie most likely called it for Marvin before she realized that the other ball landed first...
(god it feels strange to talk about Big Brother on FR...)
Lockbox
Never suspected some of them might be FReepers.
At least with Albacore and Central Bull Shit station you know what you are tuned into . As for Julliard ... It's just another school .
That's right. I do watch it. Though I think Amazing Race is better. I am not ashamed, though maybe I should be. I can tell by the underwhelming response to this post that no one here watches it. What kind of "crap" do you watch, Hank Rearden, when you're not making steel?
Never suspected some of them might be FReepers.
It's that big tent gig Hank .
What are you saying?
What are you saying?
I'm saying that you are bullshitting yourself and the public at largesse . Consider this your free bump .
I blame Karl Rove.
Profound. But, I fear I am not bullshitting myself at all. I really must thank you, though, for lowering yourself enough to give me a "free bump."
I didn't watch it...I was on the phone with local talk radio trying to help win the election. But my fiance watches it and saw what you saw. Her take was not that it was rigged but that the hostessette is apparently a worthless incompetent. I don't know who it is, but my impression from her is that the hostessette is a reporter/talking head/can only read the telepromter incompetent who got the job because she is sleeping with a CBS bigwig.
Profound. But, I fear I am not bullshitting myself at all. I really must thank you, though, for lowering yourself enough to give me a "free bump."
Now we might be getting down to the marrow . What was your expectation fron CBS ?
I get that impression as well.
As for winning the election, I live in Manhattan and am an attorney at a firm (pretty much the only conservative at the firm), so I've given up trying to win the election. Just gonna vote early and hard and pray for PA and OH. Good luck in your efforts.
Oh, I most definitely prefer the bone.
I expected CBS to be at least a little better. After all, they have Andy Rooney and Bold and the Beautiful.
Thank God Marvin won HOH. He'll be doing me a favor if he puts up Diane and Karen. Don't care which one goes, as long as it's one of them! My favorites are Drew and Marvin. I used to like Nik until she became a hyocrite: carrying on about Adria's broken 'pinky swear' promise and then proceeds to break her promise with Cowboy by nominating him.
