Believe it or not, here in the Detroit area we have been having September weather all month. There have been some days when all we want is a cozy meal, so I haven't minded turning on an oven.

September here too in PA. We're having ham and beans. Cube fresh ham and put in large pot with fresh string beans from the garden, new potatoes from the garden, onions from the garden, beer and herbs (yeah, from the garden). Cook till done.....with fresh bread and butter for dipping...too good.

might add some sliced tomatoes (from the garden :)) on the side.
