Recent Zogby internet poll, dumb questions, what is up with this?

Posted on 08/15/2004 8:12:31 PM PDT by JWinNC

I just took a Zogby online poll. I've done at least 20 or more of these things and I can always expect a question or two to either be poorly written or totally irrelevent. This most recent poll takes the prize. The first 3 or 4 pages of questions were about the Presidential campaign and general political views, but then it turned to questions like this:

Do you more often drink Coke or Pepsi?
What is your astrological sign?
Where are you more likely to shop - Wal-Mart or JC Penney's?
What is your favorite ice cream flavor - vanilla, chocolate, or strawberry?
Which one of the following brands of ice cream are you more likely to buy - Ben and Jerry's or Hagen Daas?
Do you consider yourself a dog person or a cat person?
Where are you more likely to purchase coffee - Starbucks or Dunkin Donuts?
Where would you rather swim - in a pool or in a lake?
Who would you more likely vote for for president - the Tin Man, who is all brains and no heart or the Scarecrow, who is all heart and no brain?
Do you prefer Nike or Reebok sneakers?
Who has better french-fries, McDonald's or Burger King?

Other questions were more relevent, but poorly written and impossible to answer fully.

Who writes this stuff? What is up with these questions?

Looks like a marketing survey to me.
