With all due respect, you don't know what you're talking about.
The goobers who come here from DU and other sites come here to lay an egg and then run. They are true trolls. There are a few who will stay and argue.

Well, if you hang around long enough, and have strongly-held opinions that you freely express, you're eventually going to get called a lot worse than a "troll"--I know I have. Like someone else said, you gotta have a thick skin. But 99% of the time you're going to find FR very enjoyable and informative. Flame wars happen sometime, and folks can get quite nasty in the heat of debate, but all-in-all most posters here are quite civil, witty, and intelligent. Welcome to FR!

what's real interesting is, the people I know, who aren't politically active like us, all think kerry is a bozo. No one I know (except for my extreme liberal sil) is voting for him. I only know one person voting for kerry. what about you? How many people do you personally know who are voting for kerry?

Actually, I've talked to far too many people who claim to be "independent". "They're both (Bush and Kerry) as bad as the other", they stupidly say.
As far as actually KNOWING anyone who's happily voting for Kerry...no, I don't. One guy at work is a Dem, so I think he'll probably just go that way...just because.
