I didn't get to this show, when I learned that sets would be 15-20 minutes each I just couldn't justify the expense to get a little taste of these bands. Day of show the rotating stage broke and set times fell to around 10 minutes each which means that some bands only played 2 songs.
Those who went still liked what they saw, some would have wanted more, some thought that they heard the right amount from some bands. None of the people I heard from thought that the Strokes deserved anywhere near 1 hour (and on a Strokes forum the kids seemed to indicate that they were going to blow off the show until around 7pm meaning that they were going to miss like 30+ bands.
It pisses me off that dudes who pay no dues get million dollar, bling-bling rock star status so quick. Also, why do the ugliest guys on the planet start pulling hot chicks as soon as they get the million dollar bling bling hollywood rock star status?
It makes me sick
