Bo Diddley, the New York Dolls (what's left of them, anyway) and the Stooges -- sounds like a great show right there.
I've seen 15 of the bands on this list.
Booking Bo Diddley was genius because the Bo Diddley beat provided the genesis for many bands of the British Invasion.
Pretty Things? Mmmmmmm... (Sounding the way the Rolling Stones should be sounding now. Their last album rocks!)
Who here also thinks that Natalie Merchant and 10,000 Maniacs should reunite and go on tour with this band?-)
thanks weegee.
garage and psychadelic are my favorite styles. always have been.
van zants show is on here in st louis but being part of the old buffet crowd (dinner at 5 bed by 8) i cant stay awake long enough to hear it.
PSYCHADELISIZE SUBURBIA!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Here is a big bump for Rochester Rock & Rollers THE PRIESTS who will be doing a set at the show!
dude, how could I forget Rochester's own THE CHESTERFIELD KINGS ??

I'll take an old Fleshtones CD over these guys....
I'd like your brief review of the following: (doesn't have to be too long)
Davie Allen & The Arrows
The Chesterfield Kings
Gore Gore Girls
The Mooney Suzuki
The STOOGES
Nancy Sinatra
The Strokes
What say you?
I didn't get to this show, when I learned that sets would be 15-20 minutes each I just couldn't justify the expense to get a little taste of these bands. Day of show the rotating stage broke and set times fell to around 10 minutes each which means that some bands only played 2 songs.
Those who went still liked what they saw, some would have wanted more, some thought that they heard the right amount from some bands. None of the people I heard from thought that the Strokes deserved anywhere near 1 hour (and on a Strokes forum the kids seemed to indicate that they were going to blow off the show until around 7pm meaning that they were going to miss like 30+ bands.
It pisses me off that dudes who pay no dues get million dollar, bling-bling rock star status so quick. Also, why do the ugliest guys on the planet start pulling hot chicks as soon as they get the million dollar bling bling hollywood rock star status?
It makes me sick
