It is happening with more regularity now, particulary in certain areas. It happened several times yesterday while driving in the West L.A./Santa Monica area.
What is happening? Being flipped off by angry drivers.
No, I didn't cut them off or tailgate them and make a lane change without a signal or slow them down in the fast lane. I did none of those.
What I did is have the audacity to have bumper stickers on my care that defend the president and mock the other side. I have coined a name for it: DWR -- Driving While Republican.
The other side, of course, is allowed to have their John Kerry stickers. We, however, are not allowed to express our opinion, especially for all the other drivers to see.
I have nine magnetic signs on my car and two taped inside, each with a single piece of tape. When I park, I usually remove all of them, including the ones on each side that say MILITARY FAMILY FOR BUSH/CHENEY. Yesterday at the Santa Monica FReep, you can bet that the signs were all of my vehicle. I didn't particularly feel like having it damaged by any of those looney leftists.
I hope some of you will join me and show your opinion in magnetic stickers. You can go to a sing shop or Staples and pick up the materials. Then, make your own signs with your computer. Let's get our side seen!
The classic was a few weeks ago when a guy in a truck was proud to have his son and daughter flip me off. They looked to be about 9 and 12. What a good dad, huh?
I agree.....Here in So Cal its intimidating. There are so many Kerry stickers its loony!
I have been seeing more B/C ones in the last week and yes I fear my car will be keyed by the lowlife libs. Why is this? From the side who wants all these CIVIL LIBERTIES and freedoms not be be challenged?
I think the are turmoiled. They can't win the debate intellectually so the use violence tactics of intimidation. Sad.
I am going to take them on...Come Convention week i am coming out of the HOLLYWOOD closet!
Any places I can shop online?
LOL
I got a bumper sticker that says I support (in small print) Vietnam Veterans against Kerry (large letters). I figure that the left would feel a little more guilty censoring a veteran, but you never know.
Speaking of Volvos, I saw a soccer mom in her Volvo with a little kid in the back, with a big sign in the window: BUCK FUSH. I yelled at her that she was setting a fine example for her child and probably influencing a lot of "undecideds" at the same time!
Does anyone know where to the the bumper stickers that say
10 out of 10 Terroists agree
Anybody but Bush
In their hearts, the left still hate vets. It just isn't as acceptable to have that attitude now as it was in the 60s.
The magnetic stickers are a great idea. I would not want to leave my car parked with Bush/Cheney stickers given where I live (since most criminals are demokrats).
Hormonal imbalance. Beards are cool on men though.
Simply add an NRA sticker and you'll be fine.
That's a good one! I saw a sticker online somewhere that said JOhn KErry - with the JO and KE capital, bold, and white, the rest in another color. I still debate getting that one, it just might either confuse people and/or send a subliminal message.

Sounds like the democrats are raising their children the "taliban way" - get them while they're young.
Why can't liberals let their children just be children? When I was around 9-12, I barely knew there was a President, much less, political parties. I'm happy for my childhood.
When I pass cars with Kerry bumper stickers, I look at the driver & laugh
So do I. My kids also make a game of booing every time they see a Kerry bumper sticker or yard sign.
Son of a gun, you beat me to it!
WOW! My first "I beat someone else to it" post! :)
You're raising them younguns right! ;)
I ride a MC most days. I fashioned a bumpersticker mounting plate with a plexiglass cover and attached to the rear fender below the license plate. The cover allows me to change the contents easily. I've gotten some waves and some jeers, esp over the very negative ones from counterpunch. No one has tried to run me over for them yet.
Tonight we have a school gig and in the plate holder is one that says "The NEA is a terroist organization and they are holding our children hostage". I'll park up front and *everyone* will have a chance to see it who is coming to new parents nite. *SMILE*
Laughing at them is some of the best medicine.
I have a hand-held homemade W-04 sign I flash at them after I laugh.
It really is an awesome idea. They are cheap and easy to make. You can even mix and match according to mood. When I'm feeling a little more sassy, I put on my 'flush the johns' one. I also remove it when parked at work or other public, unattended places for long periods of time. No flip-offs yet! My husband likes it because he doesn't have to worry about scraping them off after the election.
