I agree I remember waiting in the cold a few hours to get tickets at a Manhattan theater I think it was Christmas time. By far the scariest movie ever made.

My blood still runs cold every time I hear Tubular Bells.

That song is eerie but brilliant.

The original Exorcist is the greatest horror film ever made. The sequels were either laughably bad (Exorcist II) or made-for-tv mediocre (Exorcist III). Here's hopeing the Prequel is better.

My dorm chaplin in college is in the movie as one of the Jesuits (plays a freind of Father Karras). William Freidkin (the director) slapped him to get a better performance out of him.

Nah. The Haunting Of Hill House is scarier.

NO WAY! The Excorcist is the worst, when you see the Priest bringing the Devil out of her OMG... that was the scariest, it wasn't blood and guts movie it was something real and so evil it made your whole being shake with fear....

Really is this movie going to be the same version as the original one?

Nope. Not to me, anyway. The creaking walls and the line by Julie Christie "Who was holding my hand?" are way scarier.

"And we who walk here walk alone."

Yipe! I was 40 last time I watched it and I slept with teh lights on for a week.

I think the movie started out with the TSTI fly in Africa or something? then that music...AH! I think I was frozen in my seat for the rest of the film as was the entire theatre...

Is this "excorcist" deal an inside joke or just another hugh and series mistake?

Linda Blair has said many times during interviews that an EVIL persisted in the entire making of the film she had some weird stuff happen to her...

I remember hearing rumors many years ago that it was based on a true story and the actress involved was Susan Saradon

You mean it happened to Susan Sarandon? I thought it was a true story about a little girl in Baltimore Maryland?
