Hey Squantos. Am indeed working on a new book; on Chapter 7 and have a long way to go. Still marketing the one you read and helped with. Picked up an endorsement from a major bestselling author, but still haven't gotten a publisher to bite. Long-term game for sure.

I hope it is a cheerful book about a group of Political Junkies who get their wish in November elections! I would BUY that book!

There is so much stacked against us, that praying is about all I feel I can do at this point. The media reaction to the the Swiftboat veterans was the last straw. How could they go on for weeeks about Bush in the National Guard but yawn at this? How could McCain jump to Kerry's defense so quickly, and in doing so accuse these honorable veterans of lying?
But then all you forkers moved in!

Publishers are SO out of touch. It's a real dinosaur of an industry IMO. A tiny number of people decide what books will be published and they buy what THEY like, which has almost no bearing on what the public wants. As proof of my point, I always point to Grisham, who's just one of many. Thirty-something publishers turned him down. Very profound when you think about it: Thirty pros who are supposed to know what sells, ALL looked at his work and said, "Nah, nobody'll buy this guy's stuff."
Very frustrating for sure.

I worry too much, too--until I remember something from God's Word, the Bible: "Be still and know that I am God."...I'm hoping for our country to be what it should be, and I work for that goal - but I need to remember, that whoever the president is, etc., these short times here will pass, and then there is eternity. And, a joyful eternal life is certain for those who know Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
I gotta stay right here at the table 'till I finish my vegetables...
