Boring?? That may be my favorite of them all! I've reread it more than any of the others, in any case. What a cool twist...

But it DOES all take place in one place, in the winter, and involve a LOT of bell geek talk, I admit.

Part of the charm of the story, IMO. Especially old Mr Wilderspin (?) who takes the job of ringing very seriously, as though his life was dedicated to that end and he only farmed for enough subsistence to keep going on the bells.
