Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
...Hill and water under sky
New verse:
|
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

At least I don't have glaucoma or have a chicken try to put my eye out.

Heh!!!
The eye seems fine. Although it "hurts" and kinda makes me have a headache, it doesn't feel like I have a nail in my eye anymore.
I took a pain pill and then did kindergarten with Joshua after it kicked it. Made me want to laugh all the way through it.
Matthew really needs me to help him with school and I really couldn't do justice for him, so he's just doing review. It's ok, because we're a week ahead. We have all week next week to catch up.

I think you should wear safety glasses all the time. :)

No kiddin'.
I really do need to have my eyes checked though...the eye doc told me they could fix the "no tears" problem. I just never went and had the procedure done.
Seriesly...when that wing hit me in the eye yesterday, I shed nary a tear. My eye didn't even water.
Doctor, my eyes have seen the years
And the slow parade of fears without crying
Now I want to understand
I have done all that I could
To see the evil and the good without hiding
You must help me if you can
Doctor, my eyes
Tell me what is wrong
Was I unwise to leave them open for so long
'Cause I have wandered through this world
And as each moment has unfurled
I've been waiting to awaken from these dreams
People go just where there will
I never noticed them until I got this feeling
That it's later than it seems
Doctor, my eyes
Tell me what you see
I hear their cries
Just say if it's too late for me
Doctor, my eyes
Cannot see the sky
Is this the prize for having learned how not to cry

It comes in pints?
I'm having one!
To: TalonDJ
You've had a whole half already!
I doubt any of us has the whole thing memorized, but I wonder whether all of us together could fill in the dialogue on a showing with the sound off...like those Rocky Horror freaks!
Hmm...could LotR become the next RHPS? Would participants throw things or say "a$$hole!" anytime they see Saruman?

I still don't know what bastidge put me on their mailing list, but I got this picture from the DNC today...okay so it didn't look
exactly like this...

It'll be on the way back in their BRE tomorrow with a note that I'm sending off another check to the Swifties.

I get e-mails from co-workers all the time that are pro-Kerry, but they are Democrats / Independants and voting for Bush anyway so I just laugh.
Evenin' folks!
