Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
...Hill and water under sky
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Aww, shucks, don't need to pay us or nothin'. If it's plain VHS, I'll create the MPEGs from it, burn 'em onto a CD, and send it back to you with the tape. No problemo.

Doesn't sound healthy, though... if it turns green, be ready to head for cover, I say.

Evening OT - so far so good weatherwise. :-)
American Royal - BBQ; never been there but I've heard it's quite a big deal. I think it would an 'excellent adventure for a hobbit' There is reportedly large quantities of excellent BBQ and Malt Beer.
Hmmm. Best Ping G'nad and Corin.

Hair; Glad to hear about Gidget, in that it isn't too 'series'. Cartman, poor kitty. That will not be an easy choice, our thoughts are with you.

Is the puke green supposed to...um...do something? Make the experience better somehow? I have no idea why they chose that particularly nauseating shade of off-green. But it was everywhere. The navy ships that I had the good fortune to spend some time on all seemed to have the same motif. Nasty.
On the Resolute, though... we revolted against the green in the OPS berthing space. We painted it "Seahawks Blue" with lots of silver/grey (to brighten it up) and "Seahawks Green", with the blue in all sorts of zig-zaggy stripes all over the place. We had to buy the paint out of our own pockets since it wasn't stocked. Worst that could happen would be that the skipper would make us re-do it. We invited him down to review the finished product... he said... "I like it." We got to keep it. [whew]
