Many folks believe brains soften once someone gets past O-4. Well, the briefing is accomplished. The colonel was vey hostile, but thanked me afterwards, nonetheless. That was very gentlemanly. He's got a tough job right now. He is under pressure to get system X fielded, but system X has to meet a long list of requirements first. Any setback on the requirements delays getting it into the hands of the soldiers. Everyone is stressed over this. He didn't like my findings even though they weren't a setback in any way. But my two favorite captains were there and were vey supportive (they deal with him more than I have to). She-who-needs-ritalin was also there. She's at Curves right now. She keeps trying to get me to join- I tell her, "Curves is trendy. I don't do trendy."
Anyhoo, I got to wear my new suit. It's sage and has long lines- which makes me look like I have a waist and long legs. The color is so Army that Big'ol had to tease me a bit. It's just a shade or two dustier than a class-B shirt.

I don't really like anything low-carb for breakfast, except omelets, and those get old. I'm always open to a plate of bacon.

Well, the briefing is accomplished...colonel was vey hostile, but thanked me afterwards, nonetheless I never liked acquisition guys... they have to sell their soul to field a system... and they get judged on whether their system gets fielded, even if'n its a turd...

they have to sell their soul to field a system... Aint' that the truth. That's mostly why Big'ol got out when he did.

I'm buying bacon tonight!
Woo-hoo, going shopping with another girl tonight. We're going to B&N to get cheaper UML references, and then to Wal-mart for groceries. And I have almost two free hours until then - oooh! Amazing Race catchup time!

Yiddish. Re the bacon: "Yuck! Unclean!"
Kiddin', of course. As a Gentile, I have no fear of bacon :)

Yiddish LOL, I'm not that cultured. But I did buy some kosher pickles called "Ba-Tampte" which apparantly means "very tasty." Bacon is ba-tampte.

I make it a point not to know. Not that I get a chance to have shellfish these days. Too expensive.

That and you're pretty far from bodies of salt water there. I'd be wondering how long my food had been out of water by the time it got to CO.
