I truly believe that Jesus had a terrific sense of humor. And (undoubtedly) a sharp wit.

Well, finer points of the Wesleyan-Holiness tradition aside...
One of our favorite moments in our Easter production (when we do it) is when Peter is telling the story of the wedding at Cana. He's talking about the wedding and the celebration. People are talking laughing and dancing (this is a cast of more than 100 people).
Then Peter says "the wine ran out..."
The music stops and in unison the cast turns and looks at Peter, "The WINE ran OUT??????"

But everyone knows Jesus turned the water into non-alcoholic grape-juice... right... and about twenty-plus casks (read: pony kegs) of it. Now *that* is a party.
For his first miraculous act, they sent him on a beer run. This is somebody I can believe in. :-)

The part that's a little tricky is that his mom's the one who asked for the alcohol. How many mothers do that?

How many mothers do that? A mom who's catering a wedding party, runs short of wine, and has a son that can do a really neat trick with a jug of water... that's who. :-)

G'nite folks.

Thanks, that is really funny.
I notice that that guy's posts continue in a similar frenetic sort of vein.
Not that I know what frenetic means.
So we can shoot rifles at g'nad's house.
Wonder if 300winmag will bring his Stradivarius.

Not that I know what frenetic means. But it ~is~ fun to use in a sentence.
So we can shoot rifles at g'nad's house.
Bring ~all~ the guns, if you can't decide on just one. ;~D
To: HairOfTheDog
