Eleventh Thread: Wedding Edition: The Hobbit Hole XI - No One Admitted Except on Wedding Business!
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, |
Still round the corner there may wait |
Home is behind, the world ahead, |
Hurricane Preparedness:
1) Fire up the s'mores
2) Everybody sing, "My Bonnie Lies Over the Ocean..."
Hello everyone! I'm home..... just ate a sammich, now I am lookin' at the lawn.... I'm gonna mow this afternoon.
Quiet day round here eh? I don't think I am ever gonna be able to freep from that job, the monitor is too exposed to everyone who wanders by. If it were my space, I'd rearrange furniture, I can't stand having my back to people who walk up.
Great. A bird just flew in the house.
1) Fire up the s'mores
Does Ruthy have her Bic? :-)
Hate that too.
When you're sure you have the job you can always establish yourself as a bit of an eccentric and start protecting *everything*. They'll never know what it is you're really up to. hehehe
This job is just temp. Filling in for someone on medical leave. Although another person in the office is pregnant, so who knows, maybe one of them won't come back.
Let's hope she has an extra. And plenty of smore stuff for the hurricanes! Her and the girls can make it though any storm just fine with that! LOL
It was a sweet little wren or something. I closed all the blinds and left the door open, it flew out, a little shaken up is all!
If one of 'em doesn't come back then you can establish your eccentric identity!
not that i've ever done that.....
See ya'll later. Headed on my 200 mile drive south again.
Drive safe!
I am goin' out to mow.... I'll prolly be back before you get home!
My knuckles are white and I've been prayin' a hedge around this country!!! Choppers flew over in the night and F16s are flying over now...they are beautiful to behold, but fill me with anxiety.
Well, if they know something I don't...all I can do is pray.
mmmmmmmmmmm..............smores!!!
*snif* WeddingMoot....
I dunno what to do. Charley isn't close enough to warrant leaving, yet he's moving along so quickly there wouldn't be time to leave anyway.
*sigh*
Honestly though, after Andrew, Charley will prolly be nothing more than a bad thunderstorm in my eyes. It's going without power that'll drive me batty!
Good it flew out right away! I had some sparrows stuck in the garage for weeks earlier this year. I couldn't catch them because they'd just fly up in the rafters, and if I opened the door or windows they were too scared to fly out with me standing there, but I couldn't leave for fear of other birds coming in. I was afraid they'd starve, but I put water out for them, and I guess there were enough bugs for them to live on. Finally one day I managed to get them to fly out.
Storm relocation from the Gulf maybe?
With no power you won't be able to play Insaniquarium! Hmm, I suppose you could still play in your head--I used to do that with Tetris. . .
May be. They usually fly over on Thursdays about once a month...seems like anyways. Strange for them to be flying over today.
We have the army national guard and the Air Force national guard just north of Tulsa.
