New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, |
Still round the corner there may wait |
Home is behind, the world ahead, |
Good for you! I thnk it says something in LOTR about how the burned hand remembers best or something like that...she'll never forget about the salt!
We read about Curious George making pancakes yesterday and got right up afterward and made them for lunch. Joshua made the whole batch practically by himself...it's a very easy recipe.
A half a cup of self-rising flour
A half a cup of milk
1 egg
1 Tb oil
1 Tb sugar
He whirred it up with the hand mixer and everything! Even fried it in the cast iron skillet and used the pancake turner!
By then, Matthew thought this might be interesting and joined it.
Have a nice day, Hair!
Good morning!
Unbelievable. Just unbelievable weather.
I like it though...the skeeters don't seem "so" bad.
The thought crossed my mind for a moment...then I realized that showing up would basically add another Luke (Alyson), another Nana (my mom), an over-active 6 year old (Becky) and a super-talkative Hobbit (me!) to your life.
Could be disasterous!!
See you later, sis!!
In all seriousness, you know you're welcome. But I suspect we're a little further north than you'll need to travel.
That's similar to my recipe, except that I've never used sugar and I use baking powder and regular flour instead of the self-rising. Sometimes I use partly water instead of all milk, too, which changes the texture a little.
I've been making pancakes as a once a week Sunday treat using buckwheat flour, which is healthier. And blueberries...mmmm...blueberries! Had all my brothers over the other day and we had those. They loved them!
Hi, guys, looks like some hurricane preparation, or at least thought towards it, is in order today for South Florida. Hopefully, the thing will miss, but it's a little too close for comfort. Moving fast, too, so not much time to get ready.
I never checked on it last night, so this morning's track is a kind of unhappy surprise.
I believe it is going to have some effect on your weather, too, Corin, pretty quickly as well, though I think it will not be at all as horrendous as the one last summer.
Yes, all this activity is a couple weeks early, in my book.
Well, maybe it could calm down early, too.
We ~never~ have hurricanes in Washington.
Are you going to ride it out if it hits or are you and the Mrs taking a small road trip? :)
Be safe Sam. Check in with us!
Here, either...
We do get blizzards...but our storms are generally the mind their own business sort...so long as you don't go out in them, you're pretty safe! They don't come after ya...
OK - So we'll have one volcano happen in a lifetime...
We don't have those, either!
At least there's no annual volcano season.
Now there ~is~ an unfortunate annual Patty Murray season.
It's a trade off, I know...
If yer brother ever gets me that 6 figger job, I'll move to Washington. But I gotta be near the coast.
