My kitchen is done and I put up I don't know how many pounds of squash - and must go back to the garden, this time with the wheel barrow - to see what I can salvage.
I have absolutely no clue what we're going to have for dinner...........probably something mundane like hotdogs.

Hubby took care of picking corn and squash and then we both went out and picked tomatoes, eggplant, and sweet peppers.......I still haven't gotten to the hot peppers and we were out there for nearly 2 hours.
I've got hours and hours worth of weeding to do if I want to be able to find anything .............all the rain over the past 2 weeks has totally wreaked havoc out there. It has also kept me from getting beans and peas in yet.

LE, i know you will appreciate this! the new hairdresser and i were chatting today and at one point i mentioned my age and her mouth dropped open. She said you are kidding!!! you look great, you have great skin! she thought i was in my late 30s! i know false flattery when i hear it and given other stuff she had said, referring to women in their 30s as OLDER WOMEN, i knew she thought i was younger or she wouldn't have said that. she said, i was being all chummy like you and i were the same age and i am 33~! guess i will be going back there... ; )

the best part was that she was perfectly sincere, it was obvious from her reaction and the fact that she had been referring to women of 40 as OLDER women earlier in our conversation! i said well i heard you call 40 yo women OLDER women and figured you would think me a dinosaur.
yep she is a saint and i love her and will go back there!
