Question: Which Candidate (Bush or Kerry) Has What Effect on the Value of the Dollar?

I'd like to know which candidate's proposed policies would have what net effect on the dollar (appreciative, depreciative) as I find the issue a bit confusing. Thank you for your help!

I think if you look at history and the effect socialism had on the value of currency in a respective country, you will learn what Kerry's plan will do.
If you don't believe me, check out the goals of the Communist Party Of America and the Democratic National Committed party platform.

So you're saying the dollar would depreciate? I don't want the dollar to skyrocket either relative to the Euro or a lot of industry and agriculture here is going to suffer.
As for my thoughts on the issue, I can only unrealistically dream of a return to the gold standard.

I don't think the dollar has skyrocketed under Bush. But it has not depreciated like it will under Kerry.

I think the Euro is over valued and was lucky to come online at about the same time that the US Economy went into recession+war. The only thing keeping the dollar down is increasing national debt and convincing the big banks that the US economy has rebounded. As to the Euro the major economies under it continue to stagnant and those same countries' national debt is increasing as well. With no relief in site. So eventually the dollar is going to come up as long as our economy keeps humming like it is at the moment. This is only an opinion from an amateur so take for what you will.
