Haven't you heard the new DNC talking point spin on Apollo 11? They are now saying is "set the space program back" for mere political gain! It created a disposable space program that if we had just spent less and "cooperated" internationally would have produced longer term benefits.

No, I haven't heard that...but I have heard people ranting on how the money used in the space program could have been better spent feeding hungry people, how human beings are not "ready" (whatever that means) for new technological advances, and how technology and advances are bad for humanity.
Of course, you can bet these people have an axe to grind behind all this talk of "cooperation", too.
