Westy, you should have seen and heard the fiddlers contest this afternoon. Oh my, the huge tent was packed. Fiddlers from every age from elementary school to old timers compete and they play the old songs, you know.
My daughter was in the string music band for six years in Jr High and Senior High. She played the violin, but never became a fiddler. LOL I still have her violin/fiddle hanging over the mantel on our stone fireplace.
Oh, I think I have one more picture of the fair just for you. If you ever farmed, you would have probably ridden one of these. There were over a hundred antique tractors there as usual. On the first day of the fair, they have a contest to see who can pull the most weight.

Never had anything to do with farms...First real job I ever had was building airplanes...Then got involved with them in the Service...And went back to airplanes after I got discharged.....My Dad was mainly a hard rock miner although he did do coal mining at times...
You know what..I haven't flown in a plane since I got out of the Air Force....lol
