I could never wear nursing bras. They always looked like those cone-t*t bras my mother wore in the early 60's.
I always had my diaper bag with receiving blankets with me and would whip one of those over my shoulder and baby's head.
I appalled one of my nurses when Joey was an infant by nursing him in the hospital when there were (gasp!) other people in the NICU. She was trying to hustle around to find a three-fold screen. I told her, "Relax. It's my third kid."
I have always had so much milk I could feed an orphange and was quite upset that I couldn't donate the surplus to the hospital. I was home with the breast pump while Joey was in the Nicu for 10 days and had more bottles in my freezer than a dairy.
I have to wear double-thick nursing pads, so I look even more lumpy than when I'm not nursing :-).
They did to me with the screen in the baby nursery at the hospital after Pat (#6) was born ... I couldn't believe it - a bunch of maternity nurses and medical aides haven't seen a lady in her nightgown nursing a baby?
