Bay is still acting a little off...

I just went out to fill the hay racks, and while I was standing there in the lean-to with hay in my hand, he walked in and layed down. He seems quiet, but that is really unusual behavior. Even the pony is bewildered. I hollered at ecurbh to come out with the camera. Still he lay there.

What do you make of horse that lays down when I walk out with dinner? He seems quiet. Still laying there as I post.

Pardon my ignorance, Hair, cuz you know I don't know anything about horses but....

Do you think he needs an enema? Or will he let you massage his tummy area to help him pass wind? How about a heating pad? Do any of those things work on horses like they do on dogs?

His eyes reflect genuine discomfort and I'm really concerned now too.

I just called the vet and described the above.... and tested whether he'd eat by putting grain right under him. Won't eat grain, sick horse.

The vet's on his way. Again.
