I was so disgusted that he ate it in the first place. And it came out as long plastic strips that he couldn't quite get clear of... They had little teddie bears on them.

Pickles are perking along in spite of the leaks. Am having to blend techniques 'cuz they were being contrary and floating up to the top. Now they're being weighted down with shot glasses (which is fine 'cuz we never use them).

But they're starting to smell so good. Since I can't wait three weeks, I actually found a jar of *real* brined pickles. Jewish half-sours. First time I've ever had anything like that. Yer tastebuds just *erupt*. Amazing. The brand is Ba-Tampte, made in Brooklyn, NY.
