Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
...Let them pass! Let them pass!
(Note to dwarves, this is only meant figuratively)
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Yup, he is having a fun time, should be home early afternoon. Gypsy and I did the walk thingy and now I am going back out to put a second coat of paint on the stuff I did yesterday. I can't believe these temps for the middle of July, it is absolutely gorgeous!
G'nad, thanks so much for posting the picture, you have a terrific looking family.

Well, when you are back at Fort Lewis, we'll certainly take ya out!
Glad you had a good vacation! Stay safe and we'll be looking forward to hearing from ya.

Re the temps: guess Gypsy doesn't need her Frosty Paw, right?
I've got kitchen stuff to sort through today...I haven't found the highball glasses yet.

Hair: It was 64 degrees when I got up at 5:00; it should be about 75 with 95% humidity at that time of the morning in a normal Kansas City July, it's like walking into a wet washcloth, ugh.
OT: Nope, no Frosty Paws for Gypsy today, but it looks like she'll get some next week :-)
Now, out to paint.

...g'mrning...
I stayed up way too late last night...not on purpose, just not sleepy.
My church started 18 minutes ago...
From yesterday's activites:
--The award for most uncomfortable training bra...Guinevere
--The only thing that gave me trouble in I, Robot were its freaky eyes...and I got over it
--Oh, but the camera angles during the climactic scene were stunning
Now, what's to do today?

Good morning OT! - You've been a little scarce around here, least when I have been here.
Upacking keeping you busy?
We got rid of all the shavings that were on that path in the front yard yesterday. I am just tired of shavings getting tracked in. Gonna put some stepping stones in and give a nother try at grass.
But first.... a nap while I browse through the news shows.

Well on Friday someone changed the filter on the firewall and it blocks me from posting...the post thingy triggers the "chat" filter. I was unpacking yesterday: found the powerstrip to the TV and got all the books in the cases. Don't think I have enough cabinet or pantry space to unpack everything that's left.
