Shhhhhh. Careful, you'll convince the pit bull hysterics on this list that, along with the Nanny Dog of England, aka the Staffordshire Bull Terrier (a very rare breed in the US), the Boston *BULL* Terrier should be included in anti-Pit Bull legislation. The Boston was derived from bull-and-terrier ancestors, just like your friendly neighborhood druggie's Pit Bull.
I've yet to see any deaths truly attributed to AKC registered Staffy Bulls, but let's ban them, 'cause they're ugly, and because ignorant people lump them in some nebulous "Pit Bull" group. Just for the record, I don't own a Staffy Bull, but it frosts me how the pit bull hysterics have gone after a wonderful old breed, that has no record of being a danger to anyone, simply because of ignorance and bigotry. On the contrary, up until recently these dogs were hailed, especially in England, as exemplary children's companions.
Caution: grinning Staffordshire Bull Terrier!
In 2003, only 677 Staffordshire Bull Terriers were registered in the whole country by AKC, as compared to 22,000 Rottweilers, or even 14,727 eeevull Boston Terrorists.
Is that your boy? He is just darling!
