Did she mean "because this happened, we are doomed?" Or did she mean "if our party can't do any better than this, we'll be doomed?"
She clearly meant (and said) if we can't do any better than this we'll be doomed. She specifically said that the campaign needs to move from the "country club" Republicans to the "ethnics and millworkers" who provide the votes.
