More to the point, what is the President offering to retain our support? I think Kate O'Berne of National Review the other day mentioned a lot of conservatives won't get prime time speaking lots at the GOP Convention in September. The party seems to be sending the message that like the unions for the Democrats, conservatives can be taken for granted since we hate Kerry. So they don't need to do anything to show they appreciate us. What Laura said shouldn't be construed as prophecy but a warning. It all depends on how seriously the establishment takes the discontent in the base and moves to address it.
