My kitty used to do a good job of getting up in the morning, lately he's been falling down on the job.
I went to the State Trooper's barracks last Wednesday and filed a statement with them on what I observed. The trooper turns out to have previously worked in the same state corrections department that I spent over 23 years in. As well, being a cat owner himself, he took this incident very seriously and said based on all the information they had, the woman would be arrested (given an appearance ticket). Having been well-trained in my correctional career, in being able to read printed material & writing upside-down, I was able to discover her name and address. I would hope that any discipline applied would include having all the cats in her possession removed from her property, that she would be fined heavily for cruelty to animals, and be placed on probation. The trooper may or may not contact me to give me an update on the case. If I hear anything more, I will let all of you know.
