The Hobbit Hole XII - Tree and flower and leaf and grass

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

...Tree and flower and leaf and grass

New verse:

Upon the hearth the fire is red,
Beneath the roof there is a bed;
But not yet weary are our feet,
Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone
That none have seen but we alone.
Tree and flower and leaf and grass,
Let them pass! Let them pass!
Hill and water under sky,
Pass them by! Pass them by!

Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate,
And though we pass them by today,
Tomorrow we may come this way
And take the hidden paths that run
Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe,
Let them go! Let them go!
Sand and stone and pool and dell,
Fare you well! Fare you well!

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,
We’ll wander back to home and bed.
Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,
Away shall fade! Away shall fade!
Fire and lamp, and meat and bread,
And then to bed! And then to bed!

A Tidesmoot sounds like a great thing if Chad is around and would like to do so. I'm up for it.

Well, you gotta admit that cute animals are harder to kill than ugly ones. I have no qualms about smashing cockroaches beyond recognition, but couldn't even think about smashing a bunny or seal!

Now trini, on the other hand, sees a recipe in every creature! LOL!

And they usually taste great, I'll admit. Armadillo was good!

Seal fur makes awesome coats. :-)

Naturally repels water, it does.

Chad's mom has been trying to call him tonight but can't get him. If it looks like they can make it I'll freepmail you his number and give him yours if that's okay.

She and her hubby would also like to meet ya'll. After all, she knows of your support to her kid too. I will freepmail you more info in a bit.

hey all... ugh... has it been four days?... yuhgottabekiddin'...

the Wheelin' Sportsmen event went very well... I was helpin' tuh set up most of the day Friday... Saturday I took thekids, and we hadda great time... I helped at the fishin' hole in the mornin' (castin', baitin' hooks, takin' fish off'n the hooks) , where most of the more severly disabled folks were... and floated between the shotgun familiarization and the archery range...

there were 151 participants and most of them brought a guest or three... the disabilities ran the gamut, from mils mental retardation, tuh MS, CP, tuh quadrapalegics and everything in between...

great experience for me and thekids... we helped put smiles on some faces... I especially enjoyed the archery range, where I was able tuh help a hemipeligic woman in a wheelchair shoot her first arrow, and eventually get a bull eye...

thekids made wing bone turkey yelpers... they look and sound great... theboy caught a catfish that we fried up when we got home...

osage: spread thewerd 'bout MOJAM... had a few folks there that were familiar with it...

all in all, a great day...
