I remember the old G vs Megalon commercial. When the 2 monsters were fighting on the tops of the World Trade Center.

I said to myself, "Godzilla isn't THAT small!"

Yeah, think they were "influenced" by the King Kong remake's posters of the same time period?

I caught Gvs.M on TV back then...it was introduced and hosted by a guy in a cheap Godzilla suit. I found out much later that the guy was John Belushi!

Oh, yeah, did you know that "King Kong" is again being remade, this time set in the 1930's like the original?

I have high hopes...the director is Peter Jackson, who just recently directed a little set of movies called The Lord Of The Rings, and won an award or two.

He's just as passionate about this one as those, too. Apparently, "King Kong" was what got him started making movies in the first place.

Hey, Hair, be sure to ping this thread if you have any updates on PJ's "Kong" film. They'd fit right in here.

"I said to myself, "Godzilla isn't THAT small!""

Well, when you think about it, at his SMALLEST, Godzilla was two-thirds larger than King Kong. At his LARGEST, during the '90's, he was so big Kong would have only come up to his shin, if that.

Toho had to "grow" Kong for KKvs.G back in the '60s.
